The calculator does the algebra for you
Desmos is built into the digital SAT and most students barely touch it. Nine techniques in the course turn multi-step algebra into a few seconds of typing. Here is the first one, start to finish.

Use this when
Any time you're given two equations and asked for a solution, an intersection, or a combination like a + b. It works for nonlinear systems too — a line meeting a parabola is the same procedure.
Common pitfall
The question often asks for a + b, a − b, or just b — not the full point. Read the stem again after you click the intersection.
